To get secret characters in Anime Fighters Simulator, you need to summon characters, also known as opening stars. The probability of getting a secret is extremely low, so you’ll need to open hundreds of thousands of stars on average before you get one. Alternatively, you can purchase secret characters with Robux from the Merchant.

How to get a secret character
Secret is the second-highest rarity in Anime Fighters Simulator, making them some of the strongest in the game.
Even though secret is the second-highest rarity, characters of lesser rarity from later worlds might still scale better than secret ones from earlier worlds. Learn more in our Anime Fighters Simulator character tier list.
You can get secret characters in Anime Fighters Simulator by opening tons of stars or by purchasing them from the Merchant.
The Merchant appears every day in a random world and sells various items and characters, including secret ones for Robux.
It is not recommended that you purchase secret characters from the Merchant, though, as the Robux cost is very high.
As the probability of getting a secret character is incredibly low, you’ll need to open hundreds of thousands of stars on average to get the secret of a world.
Opening stars is, however, still the method you should use to acquire a secret character.
Each secret character in the game can only be obtained from a specific star, unlike divine characters, which can be obtained from several stars.
Secret characters are, like their name suggests, secret, which means that they do not show up in the index of a world or in the character chart in the star of that world until you get them.
Even though they do not show up in the character chart of a star, you can still get secret characters in each world.

There is no secret pity in Anime Fighters Simulator, which means that you are not guaranteed to get a secret character after a specific number of opens like you are with legendary and mythical characters.
Tips to get secret characters fast
Getting a secret character in Anime Fighters Simulator is no easy task.
As you need to open so many stars on average to get a secret character, we recommend not farming for one until you’ve progressed far into the game and unlocked a bunch of upgrades.
Once you do decide to start farming for a secret character, you should make sure to take advantage of the following features and upgrades:
- Auto-open and auto-sell
- Star opening upgrades
- Luck boosts and upgrades
- Robux boosts
- Max open
Using all of these features and upgrades gives you the best possible conditions for getting a secret and will significantly decrease the time it’ll take for you to get one.
Do note that even when you use all of the above-listed upgrades and features, it will stay take many hours, sometimes days of star opening, till you get a secret character.
Here is a quick explanation of the different things that you should keep and mind and take advantage of when farming for a secret character:
The auto-open feature is activated when next to a star by clicking the ‘Q’ key on your keyboard or the icon with a ‘Q’ on it.
When activated, you’ll automatically keep opening stars until you run out of inventory space or Yen.
The auto-sell feature can be enabled through the cogwheel icon on the left side of the screen. Scroll down in the settings menu to find it.
In the auto-sell settings, you can choose what rarities you wish to automatically sell upon obtaining – most auto-sell everything but shiny mythicals when farming for secret characters.
With both the auto-open and auto-sell features enabled, you can keep opening stars without your bag filling up and without you having to click open manually.
There are a couple of star upgrades that you should get before you start farming for secret characters.
Firstly, you should unlock as many ‘Extra Star’ upgrades as possible, which are unlocked by reaching specific rooms in the Time Trials.
Secondly, you should get the ‘Star Boost’ upgrade for the star that you are trying to get a secret character from, as it’ll greatly decrease the opening time when opening stars from it.
There are tons of luck upgrades and boosts that you can acquire in the game, all of which will help you get a secret faster.
Having a higher luck stat increases the probability that you get characters of higher rarities, including secrets.
You can find all the luck upgrades that you can unlock through the up-arrow icon on the right side of the screen.
Luck boosts can be obtained from different places in the game, including the Time Trials shop, the daily wheel, and events.
To further decrease the expected time that it’ll take to get a secret, you can buy various boosts with Robux from the shop located on the left side of the screen.
Most players who start going for secret characters purchase at least one of the luck boosts from the Robux shop.
Lastly, you can use the max open feature to instantly open stars equal to the number of character slots left in your inventory.
