A new Nintendo Switch OLED Model is coming to stores on August 26. This special edition themed system will be inspired by the new Splatoon 3 game, which will be sold separately.
The new Splatoon 3 Special Edition set includes one blue gradient and one yellow gradient Joy-Con controller with white underbellies and a white dock. Both the controllers and the dock are graffiti themed, with vibrant colors and plenty of squid imagery.
The game itself will be released on September 9, with a price tag of $59.99. The Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch Pro Controller will also be released on this day, as well as the Nintendo Switch Splatoon 3 Edition Carrying Case, at the prices of $74.99 and $24.99, respectively.
Slide Into a New Squid Game
In the new Splatoon game, you will fight in a 4 versus 4 battle on new and familiar stages. Teams have to cover the most ground with their ink to win. Players can discover features, weapons, and trendy gear.
The game will also feature a single-player story mode, as well as the co-op multiplayer Salmon Run mode.
You can join Agent 3 and start a brand new story adventure and fight against the Octarians, as well as discover secrets in mysterious Alterna. In the Salmon Run mode, you will play with teammates to fight waves of Salmonid bosses.
Switching It Up
The new Splatoon 3 OLED Model will feature a 7-inch OLED screen, an adjustable stand, a dock with a wired LAN port (LAN cable is sold separately), 64 GB of internal storage, and enhanced audio in both handheld and tabletop mode.
The OLED Model system can be played in 3 different modes. TV mode is when the system is docked and played on a TV. Handheld mode is when the Joy-Con controllers are attached to the system for portable play. Tabletop mode is for taking games on-the-go.
The Splatoon Special Edition OLED Model will be available in stores for $359.99. If you want to pre-order Splatoon 3, you can find it in the Nintendo e-Shop and the My Nintendo Store.
