There are three locations where players usually like to fish in Stardew Valley, which could be considered the best: the Cindersap Forest, Mountain Lake, and the Beach. These locations are usually attractive since they offer either river, lake, or ocean fish.

As long as you throw the hook directly South into the deep hole in the water there, you should be able to get the best fish in the area.

The best place to catch river fish in Cindersap Forest is the little island next to the Hats Ruined House.

If you sit in the exact location where we are standing in the image above and throw the hook South, you have the best chance to get high-quality river fish.

You can also get good lake fish from the pond to the North-West, close to the Wizard’s Tower.

If you stand at the end of the dock and throw the hook South, with maximum power, you should get some really good fish.

Best Fishing Spot on the Beach

The Beach is actually one of the easiest places to fish in Stardew Valley, as you can catch high-quality fish every time you throw the hook from one of the Southernmost points of the docks.

Just get to the end of one of the docks, look down, and throw the hook at maximum power.

The only problem with the Beach is that you have a high chance of catching trash here at lower levels.

Best Fishing Spot at the Mountain Lake

The best place to fish in Stardew Valley for money, as a beginner, and for lake fish is the Mountain Lake.

The best fishing spot in the area is the island in the middle of the lake.

Once you get there, just walk to the Southernmost point of the island and always throw the hook at maximum power to the South. This way, you will always get the best fish and will usually avoid wasting your time.
