What is the Best Place to Fish in Stardew Valley
Players cannot only fish in one place, as they will often want to catch different types of fish. Cindersap Forest, the Mountain Lake, and the Beach are some of the best places where you can fish in Stardew Valley.
However, there are a lot of factors that will influence what types of fish you are going to catch. The first is your level in Fishing. If you have a really low level but you want to catch fish, then the best location to fish is the Mountain Lake.
The Mountain Lake, for some reason, has the lowest trash-catching rate in the whole game, making it the best place to start catching some fish and increase your Fishing level.
Another factor that decides how good the fish you catch are is how deep the water is where you are throwing your hook. The deeper the water, the better the fish.
To help you out with your fishing, we have made a list of all the important fishing locations in Stardew Valley and where the best fishing spots are in each one of these places:

You can fish either right from the spot where we are standing in the image or from between the two bushes next to the entrance to Cindersap Forest.
As long as you throw the hook directly South into the deep hole in the water there, you should be able to get the best fish in the area.
Best Fishing Spot in Cindersap Forest
The best place to catch river fish in Cindersap Forest is the little island next to the Hats Ruined House.
If you sit in the exact location where we are standing in the image above and throw the hook South, you have the best chance to get high-quality river fish.
You can also get good lake fish from the pond to the North-West, close to the Wizard’s Tower.
If you stand at the end of the dock and throw the hook South, with maximum power, you should get some really good fish.
Best Fishing Spot on the Beach
The Beach is actually one of the easiest places to fish in Stardew Valley, as you can catch high-quality fish every time you throw the hook from one of the Southernmost points of the docks.
Just get to the end of one of the docks, look down, and throw the hook at maximum power.
The only problem with the Beach is that you have a high chance of catching trash here at lower levels.
Best Fishing Spot at the Mountain Lake
The best place to fish in Stardew Valley for money, as a beginner, and for lake fish is the Mountain Lake.
The best fishing spot in the area is the island in the middle of the lake.
Once you get there, just walk to the Southernmost point of the island and always throw the hook at maximum power to the South. This way, you will always get the best fish and will usually avoid wasting your time.
