What Are the Best Crafted Weapons in Destiny 2?

Since the introduction of the Enclave in the Which Queen Expansion, Guardians have been theory crafting the best rolls for every craftable weapon.

While your favorite Perk selection may vary from this list, it is still a great place to start if you want a good arsenal of weapons that you can rely on while playing Destiny 2.

If you are new to weapon crafting, we recommend checking out our How To Craft Weapons guide before continuing.

Here are some of the very best weapons to craft in Destiny 2:

Rufus’s Fury

A great all-arounder auto rifle with the Strand element attached. Rufus’s Fury can be found in the Root of Nightmares Raid. This Raid features many good craftable weapons.

The god roll is considered Reconstruction and Target Lock, increasing your damage the longer you shoot an enemy while reloading your weapon after it is stowed away.

You can also go for the Hatchling perk to help with add clearing.

BxR-55 Battler

Designed after the Battle Rifle from Halo, the BxR-55 Battler is a favorite among Pulse Rifle users due to its unique Frame and great Perk pool.

You can farm Dares of Eternity for red-boarders, although you will want to Focus your engrams into weapons as the drop chance is very slim.

The roll to get is Demolitionist and Incandescent, giving you a ton of grenade energy on kills while applying Scorch to nearby enemies.

This is a great Pulse Rifle to use with your Solar subclass Loadouts for additional Scorch stacks.

Mykel’s Reverence

One of the only Sidearms in the game with the Strand element, Mykel’s Reverence is a great add clear primary, with a high rate of fire and a great Perk pool to choose from.

It can be found in the Root of Nightmares Raid, making it one of the easiest Side Arms to farm.

The god roll is Rewind Rounds and Hatchling, reloading the magazine partially for you while creating Threadlings to help clear enemies.

Nation of Beasts

With Hand Cannons receiving a decent buff in Season of the Witch, many are looking for good PVE rolls.

The Nation of Beasts can be farmed in the Last Wish Raid, another good Raid for craftable weapons.

What makes this Hand Cannon stand out is the ability to roll Dragonfly and Volt Shot, exploding on precision kills and Jolting nearby targets, making it one of the best non-Exotic add clear Hand Cannons in the game.

Calus Mini-Tool

There are plenty of great SMGs to go for when it comes to crafting. The Calus Mini-Tool may be one of the best Solar SMGs available.

Since this is an older weapon from an older Season, it is not easily farmable. You will need to check back with Xur and Banshee to see if they are selling one.

You will need a Deepsight Harmonizer to get the Pattern as well.

What makes this gun so good is the Perk combination of Unrelenting and Incandescent. Solar builds will have a ton of fun using this SMG.

Forbearance

Wave Frame Grenade Launchers have made a big splash in Destiny 2. They have quickly become one of the best methods of clearing hordes of enemies with a single shot.

Forbearance is at the forefront of this archetype due to its insane Perk options.

You can acquire this weapon from the Vow of the Disciple Raid.

You must get a Forbearance with Ambitious Assassin and Chain Reaction.

This will load multiple grenades at a time while causing massive explosions on kills, further increasing the potency of this Wave Frame Grenade Launcher.

Heritage

Slug Shotguns can output some great DPS, useful for clearing Major enemies or close-quarter Boss engagements.

The Heritage Shotgun drops from the Deep Stone Crypt Raid. and is by far one of the best Slug Shotguns in the game.

The only two rolls worth going for are Reconstruction and Recombination. This will overflow your magazine and reload your weapon during DPS phases while increasing your damage after getting an elemental kill.

Succession

Another weapon that can be obtained from the Deep Stone Crypt Raid. Much like the Heritage, the Succession is a great DPS choice for Major enemies.

Unlike Heritage, this is a Sniper Rifle, meaning it is best suited for far-away DPS phases.

The go-to rolls are Reconstruction and Vorpal Weapon, giving you that increased magazine size and an increase in boss damage. You could also go for Firing Line if you plan on doing damage near your Fireteam.

Commemoration

Yet another great weapon from the Deep Stone Crypt Raid. This Machine Gun has a lot going for it.

It is easily farmable, has a sturdy Frame, and has a massive Perk pool.

Our choice for the god roll will be Reconstruction and Killing Tally. Machine Guns already have massive magazine sizes.

Using Reconstruction will almost double our magazine capacity, while Killing Tally will quickly ramp up our damage. There are plenty of other great perks to choose from, including Rampage, Dragonfly, and Incandescent.

Cataclysmic

Linear Fusion Rifles are becoming a great choice for general Major enemy clearing as well as boss damage.

There are some decent Linear Fusions, but Cataclysmic takes the number one spot. It being farmable in the Vow of the Disciple Raid makes it even better.

The combination of Fourth Time’s the Charm and Bait and Switch make this a DPS machine, firing shot after shot without needing to reload.

Bait and Switch will increase your damage by 35% after dealing damage with your other two weapons. This is a great Perk when you plan your damage rotation around it.

The Other Half

While there aren’t many great options when it comes to craftable Swords, The Other Half is a special case.

You won’t be using this weapon for DPS or even add clearing. Instead, you will be using it to speedrun Destiny 2.

This weapon drops from Dares of Eternity. While a rare drop, you will only need one to unlock the Pattern.

The Perk Eager Edge allows you to lunge very far shortly after swapping to your Sword, allowing you to glide massive distances when combined with other movement abilities.

The Origin Trait Hot Swap allows you to quickly pull out this weapon when hurt so you can skate away from danger.

Apex Predator

I’m sure no one will be surprised to find Apex Predator on this list. Since the introduction of Bait and Switch, Guardians have been searching for a Rocket Launcher that can make the most of the Perk.

Since this weapon is farmable in the Last Wish Raid, it is considered one of the easiest to obtain and the highest DPS Rocket Launchers in the game.

What makes this weapon so potent is the use of Reconstruction and Bait and Switch. You should be familiar with these Perks by now, as they appear on many of the greatest DPS weapons on the list.

Having them both on a Rocket Launcher is just absurd. Be sure to farm Last Wish next time it is in rotation!

Those are the top crafted weapons in Destiny 2 as of now.

Which of these weapons will you be crafting next? Are there any weapons that you think deserve a spot on the list? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
