What Time is Reset in Destiny 2?

Destiny 2 has a Weekly Reset that brings with it new content to enjoy and new additions to the ongoing Seasonal story.

Knowing when reset is will let you plan around it and get the most out of your gaming time for the day.

Tuesday is Weekly Reset day. The time of day will depend on your time zone, of course.

The Weekly Reset is at 5 pm UTC, 10 am PDT, 1 pm EDT, 6 pm BST, or 7 pm CEST.

For most regions, this means they will have ample time in the day to get what they need done before reset, while others will have plenty of time in the day after reset to enjoy the new content.

Keep in mind that Weekly Reset changes with Daylight Savings Time.

What Changes After Reset?

There’s always something going on in Destiny 2. Every week will be different.

It is a good idea to check the latest This Week in Destiny to see all of the newest changes. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect to change when reset hits.

New Seasonal Story Content

Most Seasons and Expansions will have time-gated stories that progress with every week.

Be sure to check your Destinations Tab at the start of a new week for any new mission!

Weekly Story Mission Rotation

You’ll see a new story mission available on Neomuna every week, which means new Pinnacle Gear!

Nightfall Rotation

The chosen Master and Grandmaster Nightfall changes every week, meaning you can now farm god-rolls for whatever new weapon drops from the Nightfall.

The Featured Raid and Featured Dungeon will both rotate every week after reset.

Be sure to check them out if you are looking to farm a particular weapon from one of them.

Pinnacle Rewards Reset

Every activity that grants Powerful rewards and Pinnacle Rewards will reset, meaning you can continue Power Leveling.

Some notable activities to do after reset are Featured Raids, Vendor Bounties, Weekly Story Missions, and Ritual Activities.

Exotic Mission Rotation

You will have access to a different Exotic Mission every week, allowing you to farm for different rolls for your favorite Exotics.

Crucible Playlist Rotation

You’ll see new Crucible game modes available with every reset, bringing new ways to enjoy the PVP side of Destiny 2.

Dares of Eternity Loot Rotation

If there is a certain weapon you want from Dares of Eternity, you will want to check if it is in the weekly rotation. Websites like TodayInDestiny are a great resource!

Xur is Gone

Once the weekend is over and reset hits, Xur will mysteriously disappear once more. He will be back later in the week with new loot.

Trials of Osiris Map Rotation

Every reset means a new map will be chosen for the Trials of Osiris.

There will also be a new Flawless Reward to farm.

Iron Banner (Maybe)

Once a month, Iron Banner replaces Trials of Osiris as the new weekly Crucible game mode.

If you haven’t played Iron Banner yet, you can learn more about it in our guide What is Iron Banner.
