Where to Find Unstoppable Champions in Destiny 2

If you are like many players, you want to increase your Guardian Rank to unlock additional Loadout slots. To do this, you will need to first reach Rank 7, which requires you to stun Unstoppable Champions.

So, where can we find Unstoppable Champions? Let’s start with the easiest method.

Legendary Lost Sectors

Legendary Lost Sectors, while also a great source for Exotic armor pieces, contain many Champions. Depending on the Lost Sector, you can see up to 8 Champions per run.

If you are lucky, some of those Champions will be Unstoppable Champions. Check the mission modifiers to see what Champions will be present for that Lost Sector.

If you are unlucky, you will have to wait until the next day for the new Legendary Lost Sector rotation.

Nightfalls

While less efficient than Legendary Lost Sectors, there are always plenty of Champions running around during Nightfall Strikes.

Depending on the Strike, you can expect up to 10 Champions per Nightfall, with a minimum of two per type.

Master and Grandmaster difficulty Nightfalls will have even more Champions. You can expect up to 20 Champions to spawn depending on the Strike.

So, if there are more Champions in Nightfalls, why is it less efficient than Legendary Lost Sectors? The reason is matchmaking. For Master and Grandmaster Nightfalls, this isn’t an issue, as you need to load in with a Fireteam.

For normal Nightfall Strikes, you will be put into a team with two random players.

More often than not, these players will want to complete the Strike as fast as possible, meaning they will most likely kill the Unstoppable Champions before you can get to them, effectively wasting your time spent in the Strike.

If Unstoppable Champions are what you are after, we only recommend doing Master and Grandmaster Nightfalls with a group of friends to help you out.

Raids and Dungeons

Many of the newer Raids and Dungeons added to Destiny 2 have incorporated Champions into them to add a bit of difficulty.

While the least efficient method on our list, you can still expect to find some Unstoppable Champions while doing your weekly Raids and Dungeon runs with your Clan.

Don’t rely on these methods if you need to farm Unstoppable Champions, as there are usually only a handful of Champions per encounter.

Seasonal Activities

Every season, Bungie adds a new Offensive Mode activity to Destiny 2 that rewards you with keys, along with an Arena activity where you use those keys for additional loot.

It is the Season of the Witch. This means our Seasonal activities are Savathun’s Spire and Alters of Summoning. While neither contains Champions at the base level, Legend Savathun’s Spire spawns Champions throughout the activity.

Currently, you can expect only Barrier and Overload Champions to spawn, though this may change later on to add Unstoppable champions.

Empire Hunts

Empire Hunts were introduced with the Beyond Light Expansion.

After completing the Beyond Light campaign, you will have access to Empire Hunts, which will have you track down powerful enemies and defeat them to earn Beyond Light exclusive gear.

As with every end-game activity. Empire Hunts will have Champions throughout the mission. Depending on which Empire Hunt you choose to take on, you can expect to see different Champions spawning.

If you haven’t yet unlocked Empire Hunts, be sure to check out our guide on How to Unlock Empire Hunts.

Those are all of the places you can currently find Unstoppable Champions.
