Though the Community Center might be the closest thing to a “main story” in Stardew Valley, many players might accidentally miss out on even opening the doors of the building. You will need to meet some very specific requirements to unlock the most important part of the game.

How to Unlock the Community Center in Stardew Valley

If you want to unlock the Community Center in Stardew Valley, you will need to enter Pelican Town from the Bus Stop between 8 AM and 1 PM. If you do, a cutscene will start where you will talk to Lewis, and he will open the center for you.

Also, the cutscene won’t be available before Spring 5th. If you enter the town from any other direction, or if it is rainy, you will miss out on the event. Luckily, you can get it if you meet the requirements even if years have passed.

To start the Community Center quests in Stardew Valley and start fixing Pelican Town, you will need to enter the center again after the cutscene and interact with the golden square where a little creature can be seen.

The next day, you will receive a letter from the Wizard, asking you to visit his tower and discuss the language on the golden plaque in the Community Center. The Wizard’s tower is in the region south of the farm, west of the lake.

Once you finish the Wizard cutscene, you will be able to start completing Bundles at the Community Center. You can only do one Bundle set at the moment, but you will unlock more and more golden scrolls with Bundles once you complete your first Bundle.

After some time, if you complete three Bundles, you will also unlock the cutscene where you will get to help Willy fix his boat, allowing you to discover Ginger Island.
