Stardew Valley – Where to Get Iridium

You are currently viewing Stardew Valley – Where to Get Iridium

Iridium is the rarest and most powerful resource in Stardew Valley that will allow you to get all the endgame equipment, buildings, and tools.

Unfortunately, this resource is not easy to get, as most players don’t even know where to get their hands on it. No matter how deep you go in the Mines, Iridium just seems to be too rare to find.

Luckily, there are other caverns and dungeons you can explore to find resources, and in some of them, you might even find some Iridium Nodes. The Skull Cavern and the Volcano Dungeon are the best locations to look for Iridium if you have the right weapons and tools.

There are also other methods to get Iridium Ores in Stardew Valley, so we will list all of them below to help you get all of the Iridium tools and Wizard buildings in the game.

Where to Get Iridium Ore in Stardew Valley

If you want to get Iridium Ore by mining in Stardew Valley, then the two locations where you can find it are:

  • Skull Cavern
  • Volcano Dungeon

The Skull Cavern has a really nice distribution of ores, as you can easily find Iridium Ores if you manage to lower floors. Going from floor 10 to 100 will increase your chance of finding Iridium Nodes by a lot.

Usually, if you get as low as floor 100, you will start finding Iridium Ores everywhere, even inside normal rocks. The chance of finding Iridium in the Skull Cavern increases exponentially as you go lower and lower.

The Volcano Dungeon works in a similar manner, but you will have a higher chance of finding Mystic Stones (they produce around 1 to 3 Iridium Ores) and Iridium Nodes on lower levels than in the Skull Cavern.

You can also find Mystic Stones in the Mines after floor 100, but the chance is much lower than in the other two dungeons.

In your quest to look for Mystic Stones and Iridium Nodes, you will also get Magma Geodes and Omni Geodes, which have a decent chance of giving you Iridium Ores. You just have to bring them to Clint and open them for 25 g.

There are also three monsters in the Skull Cavern that have a chance of dropping Iridium Ores when you defeat them:

  • Purple Slimes
  • Iridium Bats
  • Iridium Crabs

Ways to Get Iridium Ores Without Mining in Stardew Valley

If you aren’t someone that likes fighting powerful monsters in the Skull Cavern, there are also other ways to get Iridium in Stardew Valley:

  • Super Cucumber Fish Pond
  • Fishing Treasure Chests
  • Panning
  • Statue of Perfection

Super Cucumber Fish Pond

If you like fishing and would like to use a Fish Pond to get Iridium in Stardew Valley, then you are in luck. The rare Super Cucumber will start producing Iridium Ore in the Fish Pond once you get at least 9 of them in the pond.

You’ll have a daily chance of around 5% to get 1 to 3 Iridium Ores from the Super Cucumber Pond, which is really good if you like concentrating on other aspects of the game rather than mining.

If you want to catch a Super Cucumber, you will have to start fishing at the Beach during the Summer and Fall after 6 PM.

Fishing Treasure Chests

Fishing is usually a really good way to get resources. Especially if you try to get more treasure chests than fish. The fishing treasure chests usually hold really good loot as long as you fish in deep waters.

If you fish in a deep spot, far from the shore, you have a 1% chance of getting 1 to 2 Iridium Ores from one of the treasure chests.

Though this is a small chance, if you use the Magnet hook, you will have a 30% chance of finding treasure chests each time you fish.

Panning

Panning is a weird activity in Stardew Valley that most players will not use to their advantage. However, if you do spot those sparkling spots in the water, you should always use your Copper Pan.

Each time you pan in Stardew Valley, you have a 1% chance of getting Iridium Ore. Since there is always a chance, try to keep an eye out for panning locations.

Statue of Perfection

If you manage to reach Year 3 in Stardew Valley and four candles light up for Grandpa’s Evaluation, you will get the Statue of Perfection.

This special item will give you between 2 to 7 Iridium Ores every day, allowing veteran players that have reached this later point in the game to have a constant source of Iridium, without having to mine, on their Farm.

That’s everything you need to know about where to get Iridium in Stardew Valley!
