Annual revenue at IGG Inc has reached a new record of HK $6 billion. This represents an increase of 11 percent since last year. IGG’s flagship game, Lords Mobile, has continued to generate stable revenue for the company since its launch six years ago.

In 2021, IGG expanded its marketing promotions and R;D teams in order to drive more long-term growth. The increases in expenses due to this lowered the company’s net profit to HK $420 million.

The company also recorded a loss on investments of nearly HK $55 million. This has resulted in an overall decrease in net profit from HK $2.1 billion to HK $370 million in 2021.

IGG In 2021

IGG has released several new games in different genres to help diversify its portfolio, which has caused an increase in revenue of 11 percent.

As of the end of 2021, IGG’s mobile games and apps are available in 23 languages worldwide and have nearly 1.3 billion users, with 36 million monthly active users in more than 200 countries.

IGG’s increase in marketing promotion efforts and expansion of R;D teams caused short-term pressure on their net profit. However, these decisions were made under the strategy of achieving more long-term momentum for the company.

Lords Mobile and Time Princess

Lords Mobile is IGG’s leading mobile game and is the company’s first cross-platform, multi-language, real-time game. Since its launch in 2016, the game has been well-received and continues to generate stable income for the company.

As of the end of 2021, Lords Mobile has over 490 million registered users and 12 million monthly active users worldwide. The game maintains a monthly gross billing of over HK $440 million.

IGG’s Time Princess game, released in 2020, has had new interactive stories frequently released and has been involved in multiple collaborative events. It has since been selected for Best Pick Up And Play at the Best of 2021 Awards by Google Play in South Korea.

Looking Ahead to 2022

IGG has a line-up of new titles, including strategy and action games, scheduled for release, including a new action game called Project Yeager.

However, as competition continues to intensify against other major Chinese game companies, IGG expects a net loss in the first quarter of 2022, but they are confident they will overcome these difficulties, and they look forward to new game releases in 2022.
