Pet food is an essential item if you own a pet in Maplestory.
Your pet has a fullness level, which describes how fed it is.
To keep your pet going, you need to feed it pet food to increase its fullness level.
You get pet food in Maplestory by purchasing it for 30 mesos from the NPC, Doofus, who is located at Henesys Market in Henesys. You can also buy pet food in Leafre, Orbis, Mu Lung, and Ludibrium.
Once your pet reaches 50 fullness, it will start to show you that it needs food soon through gestures like facial expressions and stance.

Don’t worry, even if your pet reaches 0 fullness, you can simply summon it again and feed it. You just can’t use your pet as long as it has 0 fullness.
The maximum fullness of pets is 100. Trying to feed them above this level of fullness will decrease their closeness.
Feeding your pet when it’s hungry will increase its closeness.

How to get pet food
You need pet food to keep using your pet in Maplestory.
Luckily, getting pet food is very easy, and you can stack up on a ton of them at once.
You get pet food in the game by purchasing from the NPC, Doofus, the Pet Food Merchant.
Doofus sells pet food for just 30 mesos each, so you can just buy a bunch of them, and you won’t have to think about pet food for a long time.
Pet food can stack up to 9000, so they will not take up much space in your USE inventory as 9000 should be more than sufficient.
Doofus is located in several towns – Henesys, Leafre, Orbis, Ludibrium, and Mu Lung.
The easiest one of these to get to is going to be Henesys for most players.
More specifically, Doofus in Henesys is located at the Henesys Market, which can be accessed through the portal in the middle of the town.
After entering Henesys Market, go all the way to the right until you reach the potion store. Right next to it, you’ll find Doofus.
