Hero coin is an important currency in AFK Arena.
Hero coins can be exchanged for specific heroes, elite soulstone, and rare soulstone in the Barracks tab of the Store.

How to get hero coins
There is currently only one way to acquire hero coins in AFK Arena, through retiring heroes.
Retiring a hero is the equivalent of deleting or getting rid of that specific hero.

This can be done inside the Rickety Cart in Ranhorn.

The main reason for retiring heroes is because common heroes will take up all your available slots or you need resources.
Retiring heroes also give you Hero Coins and Hero’s Essence, which is a nice bonus.
