A lot of quests in Lost Ark ask you to use a specific emote in front of an NPC or a crowd.
Sometimes you do not have the emote that you need to use by default, making you need to acquire it before you can complete a specific quest.

One of the emotes that players need to use for some quests but don’t seem to have is the Negative emote, which is used for quests like Love for the Lonely One Left Behind.
There is, however, no Negative emote in Lost Ark. It is a typo that is supposed to say /deny instead.
To complete quests that ask you to use the /negative emote, use the Deny emote in your Emotes window or type /deny in the chat. Alternatively, you can also /negative in the chat, but you cannot use any ‘Negative’ emote from the Emotes menu.

How to get and use the Negative emote in Lost Ark
There are many quests in Lost Ark where you have to use a specific emote at a location, usually in front of an NPC.
You might have stumbled upon a quest in the game like Love for the Lonely One Left Behind that asks you to use the /negative emote and been left confused as you don’t see it in the Emotes menu.
There is no Negative emote in Lost Ark. To complete quests that ask you to use the /negative emote, use the Deny emote instead by clicking it in your Emotes menu or by typing /deny in chat.
Even though it is a typo and it should have said /deny in the quest text instead, you can still type /negative into the chat as well to perform the Deny emote and thereby complete the quest.
The Deny emote was most likely called Negative earlier on but changed later, and the quest text wasn’t changed.
You have the Deny emote by default, so you don’t need to complete any other quests in the game to obtain it.
