Purchasing Ship Blueprints from Traveling Merchant Ships is one of the two main ways to acquire them in the game.

Traveling Merchant Ships are ships that sell goods in exchange for coins. They appear in the water docked next to ports.

You can access them by setting sail yourself and then sailing up next to them and pressing ‘G’ on your keyboard or left-clicking them with your mouse.

There are different Traveling Merchant Ships at ports, and some of them sail away to another port after their current sale ends.

In the Upgrade tab of Traveling Merchant Ships, Ship Blueprints are some of the items for sale in exchange for Gienah’s Coins.

Some of the Traveling Merchant Ships that sell Ship Blueprints include Spearfish Hunting Guild Vessel and Plumpcrab Fishing Guild Vessel.

Purchasing Ship Blueprints from Trade Merchants in your Stronghold is the second primary way to obtain them in the game.

In your Stronghold, Trade Merchants visit every day, and some of those sell Ship Blueprints.

The more you research Trade Merchants in the Lab of your Stronghold, the more Trade Merchants will show up.

Not all Trade Merchants can or have Ship Blueprints for sale, but many do.

Some of the Trade Merchants that can have Ship Blueprints for sale, but not always do, include Duekhyeon, Illayne, Rami, Tago, and Flarke.

Trade Merchants that sell Ship Blueprints want various seals in exchange for the blueprints, all of which you can obtain from Stronghold dispatch missions.

You can see where a Trade Merchant is in your Stronghold currently by looking at the Stronghold Info tab under Management (Ctrl+1), but usually, they are located in the NPC corner in the bottom-left corner of the main island.

Sometimes, you can also obtain Ship Blueprints from events like login rewards or when the game launched in the West.

There are, however, not always events running where you can obtain Ship Blueprints, so your best bet is to go with the two previous sources when in need of Ship Blueprints.
