Having the ability to move your player-owned house is an important feature in Old School RuneScape. It allows players to teleport to areas where there aren’t any teleport options through magic.

This guide goes over how to purchase and move your house along with how to change the layout of your house in Old School RuneScape

How to Move Your House in OSRS

Players might want to move their houses for various reasons. The main reason being to have access to a teleport in a location that doesn’t have any magical teleport options.

Regardless of what your reason is, it’s time that you’ve learned how to move your house and the requirements you need for the new location.

Buying Your House

You must first purchase a house before you can move it. You can purchase a house by speaking to an Estate Agent in any of the following areas:

  • Varrock
  • Falador
  • East Ardougne
  • Hosidius
  • Seer’s Village
  • Prifddinas

The Estate Agent will charge you 1,000 coins, and upon payment, the house will be automatically located in Rimmington.

Moving Your House

If you’d like to move your house from Rimmington, then you must speak to any of the Estate Agents listed previously.

Upon requesting to move your house, you’ll get a list of locations, their requirements, and the price to move your house to the desired location. Those locations are as follows:

  • Rimmington, no requirements, 5,000 coins
  • Taverley, 10 construction, 5,000 coins
  • Pollniveach, 20 construction, 7,500 coins
  • Hosidius, 25 construction, 8,750 coins
  • Rellekka, 30 construction, 10,000 coins
  • Brimhaven, 40 construction, 15,000 coins
  • Yanille, 50 construction, 25,000 coins
  • Prifddinas, 70 construction, and completion of “Song of the Elves” quest, 50,000 coins

Each location has its own benefit. When changing the location of your house, the house teleport location also changes.

Combined with level 40 magic, players are able to teleport to locations that don’t have any magic teleport options.

Changing the Layout of Your House

Once you’re inside your house, open up the options menu. On the options menu, click on the “House Options” button.

Upon clicking that option, you’ll see different settings you can choose for your house, including the option to turn on building mode.

Turn on building mode and click on the “Viewer” button. Upon clicking the viewer button, you’ll see a top-down layout of your house.

Select which room you would like to edit, and then you’ll be able to either move, rotate, or delete the selected room.

Click on the “Move” option and select which tile you want your room to move to. Once you’ve selected the new tile, click the “Done” button, and your house will reload.

Once your house reloads, you’ll notice that your room has been moved to the tile of your choice.

Note: Once you save your house, it’ll reload back to the viewer option. Allowing you to make further changes to your house’s layout without having to open up the options menu over and over again.
