Healing in Bannerlord

The only way you can heal in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is to let time pass. You, your companions, and your army will slowly recover from their injuries in time.

However, there are ways to make the process faster since riding (or walking) around Calradia with 1% health isn’t really that safe.

By looking at your clan roles, you will notice that there is a position called “Surgeon”. You can see these clan roles by opening the Clan menu and looking either in the “Parties” tab or by clicking on a companion in the “Members” tab.

From the Parties tab, you can select a companion or yourself as the Surgeon, which will be responsible for keeping your troops alive and healing them after battles.

For the Surgeon to be more efficient, they will need to level up their Medicine skill and pick some of the perks that are most useful for your party.

Now, to properly heal yourself and your troops in Bannerlord, you need to head over to a settlement and wait in it for a while.

The natural healing rate out of a settlement is three times slower than in a settlement, even with a level 1 Medicine Surgeon.

It does not matter if the settlement is yours or your faction’s. Neither do stats such as Prosperity, Loyalty, or Security influence the healing rate.

As you get more levels in Medicine, the healing rate exponentially increases and will allow you to heal yourself and your troops, from 1% HP to 100%, in less than 2 days.

So, to heal in Bannerlord, all you need to do is:

  1. Assign a Surgeon to your party.
  2. Rest in a town, castle, or village until your health has recovered.

If you want to try out other methods of healing that don’t exist in the game, you can always check out mods that can solve your problems.

There is one out right now that allows you to regenerate health while in battles or one that allows you to get health for every hit you dish out.

That’s everything you need to know about how to heal in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord!
