How to Get to Wintertodt in OSRS

Wintertodt itself is located in the far north of Kourend, past the city of Arceuus.

While anyone can simply walk to Wintertodt from Kourend, there are far easier ways of getting there.

Teleporting With A Games Necklace

The Games Necklace allows a player to teleport to five different locations in Old School RuneScape, one of them being Wintertodt itself.

This is by far the fastest way to reach Wintertodt and should be used by all players.

The Games Necklace can only hold a maximum of eight charges before it crumbles into dust, so players often stock up on them in bulk.

Thankfully, they are relatively cheap despite their valuable purpose.

Teleport With Fairy Rings

One of the most commonly used teleportation methods in Old School RuneScape, those who have at least partially completed the “Fairytale Part II – Cure A Queen” quest will have access to Fairy Rings.

Using Fairy Ring code CIS, you can teleport nearby the Dark Altar north of Arceuus and simply walk a bit more north to reach Wintertodt.

While it is still a bit further than using a Games Necklace, it is a handy travel method for players who are already near a Fairy Ring.

The Lovakengj Minecart System

For players who are essentially starting with nothing and are trying to reach Wintertodt by any means possible, you can take the Lovakengj Minecart System to travel by rail to Wintertodt.

For this to work, you must be at another Minecart station and pay a fee of 20gp (or no fee if you have completed the “Forsaken Tower” quest).

There are up to twelve different Minecart destinations that the Lovakengj Minecart System can take you to, all of which are scattered throughout the Great Kingdom of Kourend.

That is how to get to Wintertodt in Old School RuneScape!
