Stardew Valley – How to Get a Rabbit Foot

You are currently viewing Stardew Valley – How to Get a Rabbit Foot

The Rabbit’s Foot in Stardew Valley is very rare and relatively hard to obtain if you don’t want to do it the traditional way.

This expensive item can be sold for profit, used for one of the Winter Secret Notes, used to save yourself from cheating on all the villagers or to complete one of the Community Center Bundles.

Though the Rabbit’s Foot doesn’t have a lot of uses, it is still an interesting item that you should try to get at least once during your Stardew Valley playthroughs.

To get a Rabbit’s Foot in Stardew Valley, you will need to buy a Rabbit from Marnie’s Ranch, place it inside a Deluxe Coop, and take care of it to get its resources every 4 days. Though there are other ways, this is the best one.

How to Get a Rabbit’s Foot in Stardew Valley

There are three ways to get a Rabbit’s Foot in Stardew Valley:

  • Raise Rabbits.
  • Buy one from the Traveling Cart.
  • Farm Serpents in the Skull Cavern.

How to Get Rabbit’s Foot from Rabbits

The most common way to get Rabbit’s Foot in Stardew Valley is to raise Rabbits.

Normally, these fluffy animals will produce Wool every 4 days. If you manage to increase their Mood and Friendship, you will have a small chance of getting a Rabbit’s Foot instead of Wool.

Players can buy Rabbits at any time during their playthrough from Marnie’s Ranch if they have a Deluxe Coop on their Farm. The Rabbit costs 8k g and takes around 6 days to mature if you feed them every day.

The chance that a Rabbit will produce a Rabbit’s Foot instead of the classic Wool will be based on your Friendship with the animal, their Mood, and the Daily Luck.

With maximum Friendship, Mood, and Luck, there is a 40% chance that you will get a Rabbit’s Foot from the animal in Stardew Valley.

You can easily raise all of those stats by just petting the Rabbit every day and feeding it. If you don’t somehow leave them outside during the night, you should be able to keep their Mood and Friendship very high.

Purchase the Foot

If you really want to get the Rabbit’s Foot no matter what in Stardew Valley, you can often check the Traveling Cart to see if the Merchant is selling the Foot for a very inflated price. Unfortunately, Pierre doesn’t sell rare items.

The price will range from 1,700 g to 2,800 g. This is an absurd amount, and it is not worth the money.

However, considering how much money you have to spend on a Deluxe Coop and the Rabbit itself, this could be an option if you just want to complete the Enchanter’s Bundle.

If you don’t know anything about the Traveling Cart, it is a shop that appears in the Cindersap Forest every Friday and Sunday, right northwest of the lake there, next to the Secret Woods entrance.

The Merchant will sell 10 random items each time you meet her, and one of the randomized items can be the Rabbit’s Foot.

Unfortunately, most of the items that the Traveling Merchant sells are incredibly inflated in price. The minimum purchase price for most items will be at least double the sell price.

The value of the items will always change at her shop, which makes it a very unreliable location for consistent shopping.

Farm Serpents

The only other way you can get the Rabbit’s Foot in Stardew Valley is to defeat Serpents in the Skull Cavern.

If you haven’t been there yet, the Skull Cavern is a dungeon similar to the Mines where you can endlessly go down, as there is no bottom floor.

You can reach it by fixing the Bus and heading into the Desert. The Skull Cavern is full of flying Serpents that will keep attacking you on all the floors in the dungeon.

There is a small 1% chance that the Serpent will drop a Rabbit’s Foot when you defeat it.

Since there are a lot that appear on each floor, fighter-type players should go for this strategy if they really want to get this item.

Since the only other way you can do this is to get a Rabbit for your Deluxe Coop and then raise it with love, this is actually a really good way to try to get the Foot.

Even though the chance is really slim, if you have a good weapon, you will find more than enough Serpents in the Skull Cavern to farm.
